Lucia Song is a SoCal-based UX/Product Designer with ten+ years of multi-disciplinary background in industrial and automotive design. She is a user-focused innovative designer, who especially enjoys cutting-edge development in advanced teams and creating future-forward ideas to turn them into reality to improve the user’s life. Her work spans the industry sectors from automotive to consumer electronics and consumer goods for small and large-scale international clients.
Her studies in Industrial/Transportation Design at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit led her to a ten-year stint at Fiat Chrysler Automobile and Volvo Cars, where she learned firsthand the functional and business value of good Industrial design and UX/UI. During her time at Oakley and LDA LLC, she worked with the marketing and product design teams and participated in usability tests, which inspired her to attend the UX/UI program at the University of California, Berkeley. Their intensive six-month program gave her even more hands-on exposure to working with the Double Diamond process and direct experience working on a design team.
Lucia and her work have been featured in international publications such as Auto & Design and Car Design News. She received the Ward’s best Interior design award for the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. She holds patents for the 2012 Chrysler Minivan, 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, and many Oakley products.
